The WPT World Online Championships Mix-Max Championship events are right up your street if you are the kind of poker player who loves nothing more than hunting down value. All three Mix-max Championships have completed two of their four flights, and only have Day 1C and the Turbo Day 1 remaining on the schedule.
Here is how things stand right now.
Soyurgaz In Control in the $2,100 Mix-Max Championship
The $2,100 Mix-Max Championship has attracted 363 players to the partypoker tables across three flights and only 55 of those have managed to make it through to Day 2. Another 137 players are required across Day 1C at 16:05 BST on September 13 and the Turbo Day 1 at 18:00 BST to ensure the $1 million guarantee is hit.
Russia’s Zeki Soyurgaz is the man to catch right now courtesy of amassing 1,449,758 chips in addition to $4,125 worth of bounty payments. Soyurgaz busted six opponents during their flight to guarantee himself a profit. Making it through to Day 2 ensures at least a min-cash is making its way to the Russian, but there are now freerolling towards one of the bigger prizes, a great spot to find themselves in.
Soyurgaz will not have it all his own way when Day 2 kicks off at 20:15 BST on September 13 because there are some incredible players joining him at the virtual felt. Ognyan Dimov (1,405,178) and Timo Kamphues (1,330,105) are his nearest rivals, but such luminaries as Sami Kelopuro (1,261,515), Andras Nemeth (1,217,432), Simon Mattsson (1,064,422), and Team online’s Jeff Gross (1,036,786) are also through.

Familiar Name at the Top of the Mini Mix-Max Chip Counts
Endrit Geci has put himself in contention for an epic partypoker double. Geci is the reigning MILLIONS Online champion, and he is now chip leader in the $215 Mini Mix-Max Championship event.
Geci tops the chip counts with 2,459,003 chips; he has accumulated $650 worth of bounty payments, too. Only 160 of the 1,080 entrants have progressed to Day 2 at the first time of asking, and the tournament needs another 420 entrants in the Day 1C at 16:05 BST on September 13 and the Turbo Day 1 at 18:00 BST.
There are scores of uber-talented grinders keeping Geci company on Day 2. These include Daniel Rezaei (1,614,830), Viktor Ustimov (1,064,805), Fabio Sperling (1,003,304), Michael Gathy (921,641), plus our own Monika Zukowicz (852,374), Day Kotoviezy (612,081), Matthew Staples (526,077), Patrick Leonard (328,692), and Jamie Staples (317,922).

Jeppsson Hoping to Emulate His Namesake
Christian Jeppsson won the WPTWOC Main Event last year and Henrik Jeppsson is hoping they share a lucky surname. Henrik Jeppsson is the chip leader of the $22 Micro Mix-Max Championship, a tournament that is all but guaranteed to overlay because 2,675 players are required in the Day 1C flight at 16:05 BST on September 13 and the 18:00 BST Turbo flight.
Jeppsson is on course to become the tournament’s champion after turning his 100,000 starting stack into 2,560,526 on Day 1. His five bounties have locked up $27.50 which has paid for his tournament buy-in, so he is freerolling in this event.
There are 345 players through to Day 2 at 20:15 BST but that number will increase after the final two flights. Jeppssons Day 1 total will take some beating, only Fabio Granado Orfei (2,039,824) has managed to get anywhere near that many chips.
